I assume it's better for me to have Camera Raw version 6.7 than 6.3, would you agree? Installing Camera Raw 6.7 manually is a work around for people who do not want the Application Manger installed also.Adobe Camera Raw is the perfect companion for photographers or photography buffs who are already used to editing their photos using Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Lightroom. I guess I'm on my way now, I have the most up to date version of Camera Raw allowed by my version of Photoshop CS5.1 and the most current version of the DNG Converter. That seems strange, but I'm okay with it. The DNG Converter doesn't even appear in the control panel under programs. I also installed the DNG Converter, version 10.1 successfully and this only results in a new start menu program, inside the Adobe folder. I wouldn't really mind installing the Application Manager if it did not turn into CC when I click on it.

I installed the Camera Raw 6.7 manual update successfully and it did not install the Application Manager! However, when I go to check for updates inside Photoshop CS5.1, is still offers the damn Application Manger. Last, does this Camera Raw 6.7 update include a version of the DNG Converter, it looks like it does? Are you saying that Photoshop CS5.1 will always support the latest version of Adobe DNG Converter? Is there any reason for me to update my current, Camera Raw 6.3 to 6.7, if I'm just going to be using the DNG Converter anyway? (I assume the Adobe Application Manager was replaced with the Adobe Creative Cloud.) If I were to click on the Adobe Application Manager in the start menu, it turns into Adobe Creative Cloud. When this happens, the Adobe Application Manager becomes a start menu program.

If I have a camera that needs a Camera Raw version higher than 6.7, I would need to use the DNG Converter, is this correct? I understand that Photoshop CS5.1 only supports up to Camera Raw version 6.7. I am having trouble understanding a few things with my version of Photoshop, CS5.1.
